In mid December, our Year 9 boys were successful in reaching the semi-finals at the VEX Robotics State Championships held at Pedare. Our boys were narrowly defeated in the final seconds by Pembroke School; the three time National Champions. This is an outstanding outcome given our limited experience against some of the best open age teams in the state. The boys worked hard all semester to design and construct a robot that would be competitive at the competition. Their final result is a testament to the team’s teamwork and strategy on the day.
I have great confidence that we will return to the Championships this year bigger and better. Thank you for your support of the Robotics program this year and into the future.
